Edmonton Seahawks are proud to provide almost all the equipment for your child to play. Only cleats are required. The Edmonton Seahawks are happy to welcome any player with or without experience. This is a Female Team Only.

After completing your online registration during in-person registration days or the first practice of the season parents are expected to provide the following: 

• Equipment Deposit cheque
  • This is returned upon equipment return
• Volunteer commitment cheque ($100) or volunteer commitment pay out ($80)
  • More information below
• Birth certificate or Alberta Health Care Card for age verification
• School Report Card

Practices begin in February and are three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Practice schedule will be available on the website and through the SportsEngine App.

Practice Locations:

• February/March: Foote Field (11601 68 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB)
• April/May: The Nest (11524 153 Ave, Edmonton, AB)

Season kick-off is April 6th

Equipment Deposit Cheque of $400 is required on the first day of practice. If you do not have cheques, a Pre-Authorized Debit form from your bank will also be accepted. Please make the cheque payable to North Edmonton Minor Football Association.

A Volunteer Commitment Cheque of $100 is required on the first day of practice. This can also be paid out at the beginning of the season for $80. Board Members and Team Staff are exempt from this commitment cheque.

• Refund request prior to first practice: $300 refund
• After the first practice: $235 refund
• After registration deadline: no refunds

A volunteer commitment cheque of $100 is required on in person registration days or at the first practice. Optionally you can pay out your volunteer commitment for $80.

Once you have worked your volunteer commitment your cheque can either be returned or destroyed. If you have not completed your commitment by the end of the season your cheque will be cashed. If you have multiple kids in the program, you will only need to have one volunteer commitment. Go by your oldest child's age group.

Board Members and Team Staff are exempt from the Volunteer Commitment.

Families are expected to help with fundraising across the organization. The two major fundraising efforts are a bottle drive and a pub night. 

Bottle Drive: February 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Bottle Drive Expectations

• 1 bag of bottles

• Kids will participate

• Parents drive if they have a SUV/Truck

Pub Night: March 16 starting at 6:00 pm

Pub Night Expectations

• Purchase tickets to the event

• Source a bottle of alcohol for the liquor basket – OR – source a donation from a business for the silent auction

  • A Donation letter can be provided for those sourcing a donation from a business

Payment plans using credit cards can be set up online.

Payment Dates can be broken down into three payments:

• Registration Date

• Equipment Release Date (minimum $250 must be paid to have equipment released)

• The first game including the pre-season (registration must be paid in full to play)

If you require alternate payment arrangements, you must email the registrar or discuss in person at registration days. This must be arranged before your child’s first practice. Failure to make arrangements with the registrar could result in your registration being canceled.

If you require additional funding please view the financial assistance page and email the registrar or discuss at in-person registration days.

Failure to meet payment dates could result in equipment not being released to your player or your player not being allowed to play in games.
